Look For God In The Details!

Job 1:8-12

8 The Lord said to Satan,“Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil.” 9 Then Satan answered the Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have you not put a fence around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But stretch out your hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.” 12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, all that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand against him!” So Satanwent out from the presence of the Lord.

2:3-6

3 The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil. He still persists in his integrity, although you incited me against him, to destroy him for no reason.” 4 Then Satan answered the Lord, “Skin for skin! All that people have they will give to save their lives. 5 But stretch out your hand now and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse you to your face.” 6 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, he is in your power; only spare his life.”

The details are always important… Value is placed in the details and the details are found in the Word of God. Often time people always says, “I don’t know how Job survived all the he endure”, “I would not have made it thru all of that”, “I would have given up with all that suffering”. If you want to know how Job made it, IT’S IN THE DETAILS!!!!

Some of our problem is that when we see people suffering, when we see them in a struggle, we often put on our judgmental hat and coat on and declare that they must have sinned or done something wrong. The pure reality in our lives is that our greatest blessings are birthed through our suffering.

“The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and turns away from evil.” (NRSV)

This detail we quickly overlook, JOB WAS CONSIDERED, Job was recommended, Job was offered up

God saw such greatness and faithfulness in Job that He told the devil to try him.

I know the stretching doesn’t feel good, the crushing is painful, the pressing is lonely, and the birthing is uncomfortable BUT God is still working on your behalf. Don’t get so focused on the steps in the journey that you fail to see the possibilities God is manifesting while you’re on the journey.

God is in control of everything, while He may allow trouble, trials and tribulations to be a part of your journey, you must rest assure that He is using them for His good and His glory. The manifestation may not be immediate, however, I promise you it will be worth it!

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (NRSV)

If you are going through trials right now, are you trusting God? Are you being obedient to the Lord? Are you willing to rest in the hope of glory and trust God beyond what you can’t see No matter what state you find yourself in just stand on the Word. You want to know how your going to make it out, the details is in the Word of God!

Take the journey with Job down to chapter 42:10, “And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he had prayed for his friends; and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” (NRSV) Just when they thought that it was over for Job, restoration and manifestation took place. When God is guiding your journey, no matter what it looks like, it will always be VICTORY!!!

Don’t complain, don’t get frustrated just LOOK FOR GOD IN THE DETAILS!!!
